Description

This is a very personal pic i think;cause i always wanted to paint a modern picture,with ordinary -yet extraordinarily beautiful- chars in it...In other words,this style was what i wanted to achieve since i started painting ^^; from now on,i will try to follow it,i want to get rid of the fantasy-renaissance influence on me ^^;

That's one of my chars,no need to mention the name cause that girl no longer resembles that char...oh well -_-

Again,don't try to extract any meanings or stories from this picture,cause i had no story in my mind while painting this

Time: Must be around a month but,without school and exams,it wouldn't take more than 2 weeks.

Tools: Photoshop cs 8,wacom intuos A4 tablet,My mac *huggles the Mac*

yes, the feathes are very well done. The hair is smooth and flowing, but may be a bit to much moving in the air, becouse the girl is not moving at all.
The right arm looks short.
All in all: SHE looks great, but she does not rock, she stands, static.
Never mind, its a great artwork.

about the hair: I wanted it to be flowing,i know it's against the rules of nature but,i like the way it looks weightless like that

and i couldn't ruin the details with adding motion blur to the girl

about the title,i seriously had no idea about it,the last moment i realised this costume would fit a rocker girl,that's all

(it's better than "untitled" i think

)
Finally the bg and feet...from the very start i didn't plan a specific bg,i just knew there should be a spotlight and a black background,maybe because i wanted to stress the clothes design.And i didn't add the feet,cause i don't think it's that much important for this pic

Great work. I love the design of the clothes and her hair. Good pose and character expression.
If we could see the other arm I think the work could be perfect in my opinion (yes, I know the other arm is behind her but I like to see it in a similar pose as the other arm ) +9/10

I must say that I am totally in love with the facework on this!

Only part that I am not that happy with are the legs.. I think the lighting should be worked on a bit more.

the textures are really great, you've paid attention to detail really well, and it shows..but there are some obvious anatomical errors which could've been avoided if you had used references. Personally I hate being tied to references, but in paintings like these where it's all about the pose and the character it's critical that the proportions look realistic, otherwise the picture easily loses its effect. it's still very easy to see that you're skilled, though, so it's obvious that you could've avoided the mentioned errors.
8/10 mainly for the superb textures
